Cycle to Work Scheme
Fancy upto 42% off a bike and accessories, and spread the cost in monthly payments, then Cyclescheme is exactly what you are looking for.
It is a government tax incentive for anyone who would like to cycle to work, and The Wadebridge Bike Shop is an authorised dealer.
But how does the scheme work?
1. Check if your employer has signed up?
To get a bike through Cyclescheme, your employer needs to be signed up to the scheme. If your employer is not signed up, or you are not sure, speak to your manager or HR department, or let us know and we will invite them on your behalf.
2. Drop in to see us at The Wadebridge Bike Shop.
We will take the time to talk about what sort of bike and equipment are best for you, and provide you with a written quote for these.
3. Request your secure certificate online
Go to your employer's special Cyclescheme web address to request your certificate. If you are not sure what this is, ask your manager or Cyclescheme administrator. We will ask your employer to confirm your eligibility and approve your request, and then send them an invoice for the bike package. A hire agreement will also be sent to you to sign. As soon as the bike is paid for, we will send you your printed certificate, which you can then take to a bike shop to exchange for a bike and equipment.
4. Bring your certificate to The Wadebridge Bike Shop
You can then exchange it for your chosen bike and equipment.
Your hire payments are deducted from your gross monthly salary. At the end of the hire period employees may be given the opportunity to buy the bike for the market value, give it back to Cyclescheme or get another new bike!
